Not Your Ordinary High School Club...

Established in 1921, the National Honor Society (NHS) is the oldest and most respected student recognition organization in the United States. Membership distinguishes students who have committed themselves to the pursuit of personal development, academic excellence, and community involvement.

While academic achievement is a main focus of NHS, today’s students need much more than just good grades to be successful. NHS’s focal points are on building character, promoting service, and encouraging leadership, which help students build the talent and relationships that will ensure success during their academic years and beyond.

Through involvement with NHS, members are able to:

  • Learn how they can be leaders, and why leadership abilities are necessary in life

  • Build a portfolio with achievements that can be showcased on applications for colleges and careers

  • Create connections with school faculty, community leaders, and local business trailblazers who can provide recommendations and references for college or job applications

  • Begin networking with other accomplished students who are focused on personal growth and building a solid foundation for their future endeavors
